PocketSNES

So I got this nifty little device about a month ago but I really haven't had much time to tinker around with it due to school. With the onset of summer I can finally dedicate more time to it.

Anyway, quick question. The only emulators I have so far are the nes one and PocketSNES. They run fine for the most part but they do seem to suffer slowdown problems when too many sprites are on the screen, ect. Usually the frame rate tanks in these scenerios. I keep telling myself that there must be some easy solution to this problem especially when considering how many options are available to configure in the emulator programs. Can anyone give me advice concerning which options can be re configured to help maintain a steady frame rate and fight slowdown?

Yoshi's Island, Secret of Evermore, and E.V.O to be specific.

What game(s) are you experiencing this with? i haven't had any slowdown issues myself but then again perhaps I haven't been trying the same games as you...
