Has anyone had any luck getting SNK v Capcom working on the Neo Geo emulator or MAME4All? I am very well versed in emulation, so I don't necessarily need a walk through, just curious if anyone got it working so I know if I am wasting my time or not.

I've tried:
svc.zip 79.4mb
svcpcb.zip 87.5mb
svcpcba.zip 78.7mb

All 3 from multiple sites.
Thanks

Thanks guys !

I also replaced the names in the svcplus.rc file to match the names in the svcplus.zip, '269-' instead of 'svc_'. Be sure to change dash instead of an underscore. The game runs perfectly at 60 fps. BTW, Final burn alpha (FBA2x) runs the game but you need the a cache file (use fbacache and don't forget the neogeo.zip file in the roms file along the svc.zip).

Wow, it worked perfectly! Thank you so much for your help, you made my night :) I had actually downloaded a version containing the "269-" rom files, and thought to change the rom files to match the versions in the definition file. Turns out I had the logic reversed. Anyways, thanks again!

The files inside the svcplus.zip are all named '269-c1.rom', '269-v1.rom', etc' while in the svcplus.rc file they are named 'svc_c1.rom'

All you have to do is change the names in the svcplus.rc file to match the names in the svcplus.zip, so change 'svc' to '269' on every line it appears. Also make sure they all have a dash instead of an underscore.

That is what I did and it worked 1st try

That sounds super exciting ... sadly I tried downloading three different versions of svcplus ... from doperoms, rapidshare, and 4shared. Can't find a version with the matching rom files as in the rc file definition. Could you point me in the direction of where to obtain the working version?

Confirmed working!!

So there is a rom floating around the internet named svcplus.zip, it is about 40mb. In the romrc.d folder there is a file named svcplus.rc. Open it up and make sure the names of the files inside svcplus.zip match the ones listed in the svcplus.rc file and vola. Works perfectly!

I've tried everything myself and with no luck. I tried creating a graphics dump file for GnGeo, and it failed. I then used the FinalBurn Alpha graphics dump tool, and successfully created svcpcb.fba, it was recognized by FinalBurn Alpha, but then crashed out. Tried with and without the neo geo bios.

Running out of ideas here... Anyone?
